Dr. Matute is an Associate Professor in the
Department of Biology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He leads the
Genetic and Ecological Basis of Reproductive Isolation Laboratory, which studies the process of species formation. Projects in the lab range from natural history to quantitative genetics and genomics.
Matute will provide training in utilizing tools for analyses of evolutionary genomics and genomic data, with a focus on Histoplasma capsulatum.
